The LGA Annual Conference and Exhibition 2017 will be held from 4 July to 6 July 2017 at The International Convention Centre, Birmingham. The General Assembly Meeting will be on 4 July.
The plenary sessions will include the following topics for debate:
• future of local government
• Brexit – what role for local government
• Industrial strategy – the local response
• adult social care
• Building homes, places and lives
• mental health
• Funding for Local Government
The cost of attending the Conference will be:
• Full conference - 3 days: £545 plus £109 VAT – total £654 per delegate
• Tuesday - 1 day: £235 plus £47 VAT - total £282 per delegate
• Wednesday - 1 day : £290 plus £58 VAT- total £348 per delegate
• Thursday - 1 day : £290 plus £58 VAT- total £348 per delegate
As this year's conference is being held in Birmingham there will be no additional costs for overnight accommodation incurred.
The Committee is invited to appoint 5 Councillors (3 Labour, 1 Conservative, and 1 Liberal Democrat) to attend the Conference.
