If a disclosable pecuniary interest is declared a Member must not participate in any discussion or vote on the matter and must not remain in the room unless they have been granted a dispensation.

 

If other registerable interests are declared a Member may speak on the matter only if members of the public are allowed to speak at the meeting but otherwise must not take part in any discussion or vote on the matter and must not remain in the room unless they have been granted a dispensation.    

 

If it is a ‘sensitive interest’, Members do not have to disclose the nature of the interest, just that they have an interest.

To agree and sign the Minutes of the Birmingham Schools Forum held on 5 December 2024. 
To review and note the actions from previous Birmingham Schools Forum meetings.

The purpose of this report is to advise Schools Forum on Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) settlement for 2025/26. It summarises the settlement for four blocks; Schools Block (SB), High Needs Block (HNB), Early Years Block (EYB) and the Central School Services Block (CSSB) for 2025/26.

The Schools Forum to note the contents of the report.

This report details the findings of the Early Years Rates Review Focus Group and recommends the amendments to be made to the Early Years DSG Funding for the financial year 2025/26. 

The purpose of this report is to advises schools forum on the Schools Block (SB) funding arrangements under the schools National Funding Formula (NFF) following the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) settlement announcement for 2025/26

This report proposes indicative per pupil rates for various services to be bought back under de-delegation from mainstream maintained schools’ budgets after application of the local funding formula in 2025/26

Schools Forum is required every financial year to approve line by line, centrally retained items from the Central Schools Services Block (CSSB), as part of the Dedicated Schools Grant. This does not include the deduction for Copyright Licences, which is separately negotiated and purchased by the Department for Education (DfE) on behalf of all Local Authorities (LAs).

The purpose of this report is to seek approval from Schools Forum for items contained within.

This report presents the final outturn position to Schools Forum on the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) for 2023/24 in support of the Schools and Education Budget.

The report will explain outturn by each block as well as the movement on the DSG reserve from 2022/23 to 2023/24.
