1 Notice of Recording
Lord Mayor to advise that this meeting will be webcast for live or subsequent broadcast via the Council's meeting You Tube site (www.youtube.com/channel/UCT2kT7ZRPFCXq6_5dnVnYlw) and that members of the press/public may record and take photographs except where there are confidential or exempt items.
2 Declarations of Interests

Members are reminded that they must declare all relevant  pecuniary and non pecuniary interests arising from any business to be discussed at this meeting. If a disclosable pecuniary interest is declared a Member must not speak or take part in that agenda item. Any declarations will be recorded in the minutes of the meeting.

3 Special Business – Death of Her Majesty the Queen

120 minutes allocated (1800-2000)

 

The Lord Mayor to move the following Motion:

 

“On behalf of the citizens of Birmingham, this Council offers its deep condolences to the Royal Family on the news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

 

During her many visits to the City, she reached out to charities, veterans, service personnel, hospitals and children and won a very special place in the hearts of the citizens of Birmingham.

 

Over her seven-decade reign, she showed unwavering and inspirational dedication to serving the nation and the Commonwealth, offering wise counsel in often turbulent times.

 

This Council gives thanks for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's exceptional 70 years’ service and extends its deepest sympathy to King Charles, and the rest of the Royal Family, at this difficult time."
