1 ELECTION OF THE EXECUTIVE MEMBER AND VICE CHAIR FOR ERDINGTON DISTRICT
  To elect a Chairperson (EM) and Vice Chair for the Municipal Year 2017/18.

  To confirm and sign the Minutes of the last meeting of the Erdington District Committee held  on 28 March 2017.
5 MEMBERSHIP OF ERDINGTON DISTRICT COMMITTEE
 

To note the membership of the Committee as follows:-

                              Councillors :- Robert Alden, Bob Beauchamp and Gareth Moore                                                                                                                                 (Erdington Ward)

Councillors :- Des Hughes, Gary Sambrook and Ron Storer

                                                                                         (Kingstanding Ward)

Councillors :- Penny Holbrook, Josh Jones and Mick Finnegan

                                                                                    (Stockland Green Ward)

Councillors :- Lynda Clinton, Mick Brown and Mike Sharpe (Tyburn Ward).

Station Commander, West Midlands Fire Service

8 DISTRICT COMMITTEES FUNCTIONS AND GUIDELINES
  To note the executive powers, rules of governance and functions for District Committees (Article 10 of the Constitution).
9 DISTRICT COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS 2017/18
 

    1. To appoint a District Councillor Champion for the following:-

       

  1.   Youth Champion (previously Councillor Josh Jones)

  2.   Looked After Children’s Champion (previously Councillor Mick Brown)

  3.   Older Person’s Champion (previously Councillor Mick Finnegan)

  4. District Parent Partnership Champion (previously Councillor Mick Brown)

  5. Heritage Champion (previously Councillor Penny Holbrook).

    1. To appoint a Member to serve as a board representatives on the  following Community organisation:-

  •  Erdington Town Centre Partnership Ltd (1 Erdington Ward Councillor – previously Councillor Robert Alden).

10 NEW ERDINGTON POOL AND LEISURE CENTRE
 

Dave Wagg, Project and Client Manager and Jamie Bryant Serco/BCLT Contract Manager will present a verbal report.

11 UPDATE ON GREEN ISSUES AND GROUND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
  John Porter, District Parks Manager will present a verbal update.
12 UPDATE ON BE ACTIVE / ACTIVE PARKS SUMMER PROGRAMME
  Wayne Chivers, Service Manager will present a verbal update.
13 CLEAN AND GREEN NEIGHBOURNOOD CHALLENGE PROGRESS REPORT
  Mike Davis, District Head and Nick Reid, Waste Management will present a verbal report.                      
14 DATES OF FUTURE MEETINGS 2017/2018
 

To agree the following schedule of meeting’s for the Erdington District Committee.  All meetings will be held on the following Tuesday’s at 1400 hours in The Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham:                                                        

                                                           

3 October 2017 – Committee Room 2                     

28 November 2017 – Committee Rooms 3 & 4

30 January 2018 – Committee Rooms 3 & 4

27 March 2018 – Committee Room 2.
