Public Health Paper- Approval to Consult
Report of the Director of Public Health.
Cabinet : 05/03/19
05/03/2019
Public Health has set out its draft key priority areas for the years 2019-2023. These priorities are based upon local need; the evidence tells us they are areas where: Birmingham is performing significantly worse than the England average and/or its statistical neighbours, core cities and WMCA averages; there is significant evidence of poorer health outcomes; and evidence based preventative interventions are available. The draft priorities, the rationale for their inclusion and background information on the Public Health specialism and function is set out in the Public Health Green Paper. It is intended that the Green Paper will open for public consultation on 18 March 2019 – 29 April 2019. Permission is sought from Cabinet for approval to consult.
