Purpose
To seek approval to commence consultation on proposals to introduce Selective Licensing for private rented properties in first phase target wards Stockland Green and Soho, as part of the Councils approach to improving standards in the private rented sector.

On 7 August 2017 the Cabinet Member for Housing and Homes jointly with the Corporate Director - Place:
i) Approved to commence local consultation in Stockland Green and Soho Wards on proposals to designate areas, subject to Selective Licensing under the Housing Act 2004;
ii) Approved to receive a subsequent report on the outcome of the consultation to determine whether the Council will implement a Selective Licensing scheme in the target areas.
NOTE: CALL IN ENDS THURSDAY 10 AUGUST 2017 AT 1600 HOURS.
