On 2 July 2018 the Cabinet Member for Homes and Neighbourhoods and the Corporate Director, Economy authorised the Corporate Director, Economy to seek consent under Section 174 of the Localism Act 2011 to exclude the new properties to be delivered from Right to Buy pooling requirements, to ensure that any potential capital receipts generated from the sale of homes under the Right to Buy are retained by the City Council.
