On 7
September 2021, Cabinet:-
(i) Approved in principle
the making of a new CPO for additional land requirements to implement the A457
Dudley Road Revised Main Scheme under sections 239, 240 and 250 of the Highways
Act 1980 in respect of the additional land required for the Revised Main Scheme
shown on drawings in Appendix A to the report together with any related Side
Road Order under Section 14 and 125 of the Highway Act 1980 if required subject
to the approval of funding from the Levelling Up Fund;
(ii) Approved in principle
the making of an order under Section 106 of the Highway Act 1980 to allow the
construction of a new bridge over the Spring Hill canal as part of the Revised
Main Scheme subject to the approval of funding from the Levelling Up Fund;
(iii) Approved entering into
negotiations to acquire by agreement the additional land and property required
for the purposes of the Revised Main Scheme so as to allow implementation of
the Revised Scheme;
(iv) Authorised the City
Solicitor (or their delegate) to negotiate, execute, seal, take any necessary
action, and complete all necessary documentation to give effect to the above
recommendations.
