Purpose

To seek Cabinet approval for adoption of the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education 2022, which must be taught in maintained schools without a designated denomination, and which can be taught in other schools and academies which choose to use it.

(i)       That Cabinet adopts the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education 2022 contained in Appendix 1 to the report as recommended and agreed by the Agreed Syllabus Conference and set out at paragraph 3.9.
