Committee – Property:-
(i) Authorised
the Director of Property & Regeneration to conclude the sale of the Council
owned, freehold property at Mole Street Depot (“the Property”), as shown edged
bold black on the attached plan in Appendix A, to the report and extending to
0.655 acres, to the purchaser as detailed in Exempt Appendix B, with overage
and anti-embarrassment provisions to be applied;
(ii) Noted
that the purchaser will pay a contribution towards the Council’s professional
agents and legal costs, as detailed in Exempt Appendix B, to the report;
(iii) Authorised
the Director of Property & Regeneration to revert to the underbidders, in
the event of a failure to complete the transaction within the prescribed
timeline and conclude a sale to an underbidder on the best available terms,
subject to the Council’s duties under Section 123 of the Local Government Act
1972;
(iv) Authorised
the City Solicitor (Monitoring Officer) to prepare, negotiate, execute, and
complete all relevant legal documentation to give effect to the above
decisions.
