On 14
December 2021, Cabinet:-
(i) approved the use of the
Household Support Fund as set out in 3.8 – 3.11 in the report;
(ii) delegated the
management of the distribution to the Director Education and Skills and the
Director Adult Social Care in consultation with the Director of Council
Management;
(iii) approved the direct
award of contract to BVSC via a Single Contractor Negotiation for the
management and administration of the localities funds (worth £4m) to provide
financial assistance to vulnerable households in crisis, at cost of £250K,
until 31 March 2021 for 4 months;
(iv) authorised the City
Solicitor (or delegates) to execute and complete all necessary legal documents
to give effect to the above;
(v) approved the transfer of
£3.529 million to Birmingham Children’s Trust to provide financial assistance
to vulnerable families with children until 31 March 2022 for four months.
