On 23 February 2026 Cabinet Committee – Property:-
(i) Declared (1) Tudor Works, Great King Street, B18 5AN; (2) 172-176 Barr Street, B19 3AD; and (3) HMPE land fronting Hockley Hill, B18 6AA, as surplus to requirements;
(ii) Approved the freehold disposals as detailed in Exempt Appendix 2 to the report;
(iii) Authorised Council Officers to progress a Stopping Up Order and any other activity re: declassification of property (3);
(iv) Authorised the Executive Director of Place, Prosperity and Sustainability in conjunction with the Director of Property & Regeneration and the Director of Finance, to agree the final terms of the agreements;
(v) Authorised the City Solicitor and Monitoring Officer to prepare, negotiate, execute and complete all relevant legal documentation required to give effect to the above.
