On 14 October 2025 Cabinet:-

 

(i)            Approved the award of a contract to West Mercia Energy (WME) for a maximum period of three (3) years, two (2) years with the option to extend for a further one (1) year for the purchase of energy. The cost for financial year 2024/25 with WME was £35.7M per annum (this includes a management and purchasing fee of £105k per annum) and bill validation and payment services to the value of £123k per annum; and

 

(ii)           Authorised the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to agree and complete all documents to give effect to the above decisions.
