On the 21 July 2026 the
Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families:
- Approved the total project costs and spend funded from the School Condition Allocation grant for the boundary wall retention system works at Millpool Campus City of Birmingham School of £209,619, inclusive of £12,500 for professional and £6,106 for Education Infrastructure Capitalisation fees.
- Approved the Full Business Case appended to this report as Appendix A.
- Approved the award of a contract to Graham Asset Management Limited for the value of £191,013 (inclusive of a £30,000 contingency for any unforeseen circumstances) for the delivery of the boundary wall retention system works, commencing in August 2026 for a period of 12 weeks.
- Noted that any VAT attributable to the costs payable by the Local Authority is reclaimable under Section 33 of the VAT Act 1994; and
- Authorised the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above recommendations.
