Decision Outcome

Cabinet Members Councillor Ian Ward, Councillor Brigid Jones, Councillor Paulette Hamilton, Councillor Jayne Francis and Councillor Waseem Zaffar had advised the Monitoring Officer in writing that they have a pecuniary interest arising from Union contributions to local Labour Group election funds.

A dispensation has been granted to these Cabinet Members by the Chairman of the Standards Committee in relation to a pecuniary interest arising from Union contributions to local Labour Group election funds on the grounds that a key decision has to be taken that is in the interests of persons living within Birmingham. The dispensation, allows them to speak and vote on the business to be considered at this meeting.  The dispensation is valid for 3 months from 11 February 2019.
