Decision Details

On the 16 September 2025 the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families:-

1. Approved the cost for the design services to complete the PCSA stage for the permanent new build extension at Beaufort school, at a total cost of up to £450,914, which includes contractor PCSA fee £246,591, PCSA contingency, £24,659 (this covers risk of inflation, risk of net construction cost increase, which affects the design fee), £166,531 for Acivico Ltd’s professional fees and £13,133 of EDI capitalisation fees; 
   
   
2. Approved the Full Business Case for the PCSA stage appended to this report;
   
   
3. Approved the award of a contract to enter into a PCSA for the design stage for the permanent new build extension to Seddon Construction Ltd commencing in September 2025 for the value of up to £246,591; 
   
   
4. Noted that a further report will be presented to Cabinet for a decision on the actual build and procurement; and
   
   
5. Authorised the Director of Law & Governance/Monitoring Officer to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above recommendations.
