On 28 April 2026 Cabinet:-

 

(i)             Approved the total project costs for the fire doors replacement and compartmentation works at Lindsworth School, not exceeding £2,491,154;

 

(ii)            Approved the Full Business Case (FBC) appended to this report at Appendix A;

 

(iii)           Noted that a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) has been entered into with Seddon Construction Limited for the initial feasibility and design stage, which is currently underway for the value of up to £89,967.13 and approved under Cabinet Member authority on 6th November 2025;

 

(iv)           Delegated authority to the Interim Executive Director of Children and Families in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer) and the City Solicitor (or their delegates) to award the contract for the fire doors replacement and compartmentation works at Lindsworth School to Seddon Construction Limited; and

 

(v)            Delegated authority the City Solicitor or their delegate to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above decisions.
