Decision Details

To seek approval for the project costs and award of the contract for alterations and refurbishment of the existing unused nursery space at coppice Primary School for use by Langley School. The project costs for the scheme will not exceed £339,022. The project will not be using General Fund.

On the 25 July 2024, the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families;

(i) Approved the project costs for the alterations and refurbishment of the existing nursery space at Langley school at a cost of up to £339,022;

(ii) Approved the Full Business Case appended to this report;

(iii) Approved the award of a contract for alterations and refurbishment of the existing unused nursery space at Coppice School for use by Langley School to Interclass Holdings Ltd commencing in July 2024 for the not to exceed value of £309,022 (including a contingency of £30,000 for any unforeseen circumstances) for a construction period of 6 weeks commencing in July 2024; and

(iv) Authorised the Interim City Solicitor and Monitoring Officer to execute and complete all necessary legal documents to give effect to the above recommendation.
