Purpose
Following an extensive procurement process, Resilience and Operations working jointly with Corporate Procurement have identified WCCTV as our preferred provider of our redeployable CCTV. The work done will create a single contract for BCC, bring all redeployable CCTV activity into one place and has identified £200k of potential savings, securing a good value unit pricing model.

Decision Outcome

On 10 July 2026 Cabinet:-

(i)       Approved the Direct Award to Wireless CCTV Limited for a 5 year call off contract for the provision of Wireless CCTV and associated infrastructure for a period of 5 years, at an estimated total contract value of £1,105,000;

(ii)      Approved the establishment of a corporate call-off arrangement for the deployment of up to 100 redeployable Wireless CCTV cameras over the duration of the contract, to support Council services across Birmingham;

(iii)     Authorised the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to execute and complete all necessary legal documents to give effect to the above decision.
