To set out the Full Business Case and Contract Award for providing additional secondary and sixth form places

On 23 June 2020, Cabinet:

1. Approved the Full Business Case (Appendix A to the report) for the capital works at Kings Heath Boys Secondary School at a total project cost of up to £6,378,877 which includes Education Infrastructure (EdI) capitalisation of £185,793;

    

2. Authorised the Director for Education & Skills in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources to raise a works order up to the value of £5,615,876 with Morgan Sindall in order for works to commence and to release contingencies and place further orders up to £203,750 if required;

    

3. Authorised the Director for Education & Skills to place orders up to the value of £353,458 with Acivico for professional services;

    

4. Noted that loose furniture up to the value of £20,000 will be ordered directly by the school. Costs will be reimbursed by EdI on production of evidence (paid invoices) which will be verified by EdI;

    

5. Authorised the City Solicitor to negotiate, execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above decisions.
