Decision Outcome

On 16 December 2025, Cabinet Committee – Property:-

(i)        Authorised the Director of Property & Regeneration to conclude an unconditional freehold sale of the surplus Council owned property to the proposed purchaser as detailed in Exempt Appendices 2, 3 and 4 of the report relating to:

 

·       The sale of the property asset known as Alpha Tower, Suffolk Street, Queensway, Birmingham B1 1TT


(ii)       Authorised the Director of Property & Regeneration to revert to any under bidder in the event of a failure to complete and conclude a sale on the best available terms subject to the Council’s duties under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972;

(iii)       Authorised the City Solicitor to prepare, negotiate, execute and complete all relevant legal documentation to give effect to the above.
