Reason For Key Decision

Birmingham City Council (BCC) currently has an active Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in place within Erdington High Street. This order was implemented following the raising of various concerns that impacted on local residents, businesses and partners regarding issues of anti-social behaviour, arising from groups, use of alcohol/intoxicating substances and graffiti. The introduction of the PSPOs was evidence-based and involved evidence-gathering and consultation before implementation.

This order came into effect on 24 December 2021 for a period of 3 years and will expire on 23rd December 2024.
