Purpose
That the Cabinet Member Approves the following recommendations:
That the Erdington Public Space Protection Order is renewed for a further three years. Whilst the renewal date should be from the 24th December 2024, enforcement of the order shall not commence until permission is received and new signage is in place in January 2025.The new order will expire on the 23rd of December 2027 at 23.59hrs.

On the 13 January 2025 the Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion, Community Safety and Equalities:
- Agreed for the Erdington Public Space Protection Order to be renewed for a further three years. Whilst the renewal date should be from the 24 December 2024, enforcement of the order shall not commence until permission is received and new signage is in place in January 2025. The new order will expire on the 23rd of December 2027 at 23.59hrs.
- Agreed for the new order to include the
- Addition of a prohibition in relation to loitering, or begging
- Addition of a prohibition in relation to urination, defecation or disposing of drug paraphernalia
- Addition of a clause to the intoxicating substance prohibition in relation to - If an Authorised Person reasonably suspects that a person has been preparing to use or using or selling or supplying an intoxicating substance within the Restricted Area, except a prescription drug which has been prescribed for his use, an Authorised person may require that person to leave the restricted area
- Removal of the Graffiti probation
