Decision Details

To set out the Full Business Case and Contract Award for expanding the Rockwood Academy by a further 3 Forms of Secondary Entry.

On 16 April 2019, Cabinet:-

1. Approved the Full Business Case (Appendix A to the report) for the capital works at Rockwood Academy at a total project cost of up to £13,812,583;

    

2. Authorised the Director for Education & Skills in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources to instruct Acivico to raise work orders up to the value of £12,123,833, with Morgan Sindall in order for works to commence and to release contingencies and place further orders up to £500,000 if required;

    

3. Authorised the Director for Education & Skills to place orders up to the value of £636,442 with Acivico for professional services;

    

4. Noted that loose furniture up to the value of £50,000 will be ordered directly by the school. Costs will be reimbursed by EdI on production of evidence (paid invoices) which will be verified by EdI;

    

   (v)    Approved orders with Link2ICT for ICT up to the value of £100,000;

   (vii) Authorised the City Solicitor to negotiate, execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above decisions.
