Purpose

The Youth Justice Strategic Plan sets out how youth justice services within Birmingham will be provided and funded during 2022/23, including how the Youth Offending Teams will be composed and what functions they will carry out.

The Youth Justice Board provides the Youth Offending Service with funding in the form of a ‘Good Practice Grant.’ As part of the conditions of this grant, the Youth Justice Board requires each local authority to include, within its annual Youth Justice Plan, a budget which provides details of how it proposes to use this funding to fulfil the purpose of the grant.
