On the 18 February 2026, the Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport approved the adoption of Birmingham City Council’s Abandoned Vehicle Policy, setting out the Council’s statutory responsibilities and the process for the identification, investigation, removal, and disposal of abandoned vehicles across the city.
