On 9 December 2025 Cabinet:-

i)     Noted the decision of the Economy, Skills and Culture Overview and Scrutiny Committee to refer the decision ‘Disposal of Surplus Properties (September 2025) taken by Cabinet Committee – Property on 23 September 2025 for reconsideration and the ‘call in’ criteria met;

ii)    Considered the response to the ‘call in’ criteria agreed by the Economy, Skills and Culture Overview and Scrutiny Committee;

iii)   Reconsidered the decision ‘Disposal of Surplus Properties (September 2025) taken by Cabinet Committee - Property on 23 September 2025.

iv)   Cabinet confirmed the original decision taken at the Cabinet Committee Property on 23 September 2025 be implemented with the exception of the withdrawal of the following assets from appendix A to the report (whilst reserving the right to bring said assets back for approval at later date if considered appropriate):

• Bellefield Park, Moilliett Street, Winson Green, B18 4JS
• Former depot, Court Oak Road, Harborne, B17 9AH
• Land fronting Highfield Lane, Quinton
• Land off Moat Lane, Sheldon, B26 1TN;
• Land fronting Mansfield Road South / Stockfield Road, Yardley B25 8LY;
• Land fronting Kitswell Gardens / Hasbury Road, Bartley Green,B32 3SS;
• Land fronting Watton Green / Padgate Close, Castle Vale, B35 7JR;
• Land fronting Lyneham Way, Castle Vale, B35 6DJ;
• Land fronting Longdales Road, Kings Norton, B38 9UQ, being items 23,24.26,28,29 and 33 of Appendix C of the Disposal of Surplus Properties (September 2025) report.
