On 19 January 2026, Cabinet
Committee – Property:-
(i) Approved
the freehold disposals as identified in Exempt Appendix 2 to the report.
(ii) Authorised
the Executive Director of Place, Prosperity and Sustainability in conjunction
with the Director of Property & Regeneration and the Director of Finance to
agree the final terms of the agreements;
(iii)
In
the event the transaction does not progress to completion to authorised the
Director of Property & Regeneration in consultation with the Executive
Director of Place, Prosperity and Sustainability and the Deputy Leader to
market the Council’s freehold interest, select a preferred bidder agree terms
and price for the disposal of the property subject to a supporting
recommendation report from the Councils appointed agent having regard to the
Council’s duties under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972;
(iv) Authorised
the City Solicitor (Monitoring Officer) to prepare, negotiate, execute and
complete all relevant legal documentation required to give effect to the above.
