On the 04 July 2022, the Cabinet Member Health and Social Care;
(i) Approved the Full Business Case (Appendix 1 of this report) for the construction of a floodlit 61m x 43m Needle punch Multi Use Games Area at Holford Drive Community Sports Hub.
(ii) Approved the application for and acceptance of £366,685 of grant from Sport England to contribute to the funding of this project as set out in paragraph 7.3
(iii) Approved the application for and acceptance of £150,000 of funding from the Commonwealth Games Capital Programme to contribute to the funding for this project.
(iv) Noted that once the Capital works have been completed all ongoing running and maintenance costs for the multi-use games area will fall to HDCSH.
(v) Noted that the project will be subject to Commonwealth Games governance arrangements as a key condition for the provision of funding from that source.
(vi) Authorised the Acting City Solicitor (or their delegate) to undertake all actions necessary for the implementation of these recommendations.
