On the 04 June 2024, the Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families;

 

(i) Approved the project costs for the design services to complete the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) stage for the extension works at Hamilton School at a cost of up to £991,578 which includes £421,397 for Acivico Limited’s professional fees and £28,881 of EDI capitalisation fees.

 

(ii) Approved the Full Business Case for the PCSA stage appended to this report.

 

(iii) Approved the award of a contract to enter into a PCSA for the design services for the extension works at Hamilton School to Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Ltd commencing in June 2024 for the estimated value of £487,300 plus an allowance of £44,000 for surveys and £10,000 for Planning and Building Regulation compliance.

 

(iv) Delegated authority to the Strategic Director of Children and Families in consultation with the Interim Director, Commercial and Procurement, the Interim Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer) and the Interim City Solicitor & Monitoring Officer (or their delegates) to award a contract for the Works after completion of the PCSA stage, subject to the value being within the approved budget in the Cabinet Report titled Full Business Case for the Extension Works at Hamilton School to be presented on 23rd July 2024; and

 

(v) Authorised the Interim City Solicitor and Monitoring Officer to execute and complete all necessary legal documents to give effect to the above recommendation.
