On the 13 July 2026 the Interim Executive Director of Children and Families, in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer) and the City Solicitor (or their delegates):
1. Approved the award of a contract for new build SEN Resource Base at Prince Albert High School to Interclass Plc for the value of £3,163,616 (inclusive of a £450,000 contingency), commencing July 2026 with construction work carried out over a period of 37 weeks with an anticipated completion date of April 2027;
2. Authorised the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above recommendations; and
3. Noted that a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) has been entered into with Interclass plc for the design stage and main works costing for the value of £161,056 and approved under Award Report dated 10 July 2025.
In each case, these recommendations are referenced in Section 3 of the Cabinet report titled Full Business Case - New Build SEN Resource Base at Prince Albert School, approved at Cabinet on 28th April 2026.
