Purpose
The City Council as the Licensing Authority is required to determine and publish its Statement of Gambling Principles at least every three years, keep it under review and make such revisions to it at such times, as it considers appropriate. This is a requirement of the Gambling Act 2005 (‘The Act’). The purpose of this report is to advise members of the consultation and invite comment. In order to take effect in January 2016 the amended policy and scheme of delegation must be approved by City Council at its meeting on 1st December 2015.
