On 23 April 2026 Cabinet Committee Group Company Governance:-

(i) Approved the next phase in the rationalisation of companies’ programme which involves undertaking a full review of the remaining companies to:

  • Assess the nature and purpose of each entity’s existence.

  • Evaluate the relationship with the Council.

  • Identify any guarantees, charges or other obligations held by the Council.

  • Consider the longer-term need and future strategy for these entities.

(ii) Approved the Non-Executive Director Expression of Interest, Recruitment Pack and supporting documentation; and

(iii) For the PETPS entities identified for closure, delegated the s151 officer undertaking a review of the Management Services Agreement in place and amending as appropriate for the revised company structures.
