  • To endorse the principles of the Games Transport Plan (GTP) which has been developed by Transport for West Midlands;

  • note the final GTP will be submitted for approval by the WMCA Board in January 2022

On 14 December 2021, Cabinet:-

(i)       endorsed the key principles, themes and legacy aspirations of the Games Transport Plan (as outlined in Appendix One of the report: Draft Games Transport Plan);

(ii)      noted the consultation responses received by TfWM as part of the Games Transport Plan consultation (as per Appendix Two of the report);

(iii)     noted that the B2022 Commonwealth Games Transport Plan will be presented for approval at the January 2022 West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Board meeting by TfWM.
