To seek retrospective approval to submit a funding bid to DHSC on 3rd December 2020 for Financial Year 20/21 and to seek approval to submit a Year 2 bid for Financial Year 21/22 by March 2021. If the bid is successful to seek approval to accept and enter into a grant agreement with DHSC to allow resources to be released and spent

On 16 March 2021, Cabinet:-

 

  1. Noted and retrospectively approved the proposal to the Department of Health and Social Care that was submitted to meet the deadline of 8th March 2021 for Year 2 (21/22) Out-of-hospital Care Model funding (Appendix 2a and 2b to the report);

     

  2. The proposal being successful, delegated the Acting Director of Adult Social Care in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer and the City Solicitor (or their nominees) to consider whether any grant conditions require further approvals, and, if not, to accept the grant funding and enter into a Grant Agreement with the Department of Health and Social Care;

     

  3. Authorised the City Solicitor to negotiate and execute any documents to give effect to the above decisions.
