Report of the Executive Director, Children and Families

On 28 April 2026 Cabinet:-

(i)             Approved the project costs for the new build SEN Resource Base at Prince Albert High School. This is inclusive of £125,047 professional fees and £108,541 Education Infrastructure capitalisation fees;

(ii)            Approved the Full Business Case appended to this report (Appendix 1, to the report);

(iii)           Noted that a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) has been entered into with Interclass plc for the design stage and main works costing for the value of £161,056 and approved under Award Report on 10 July 2025;

(iv)           Delegated authority to the Interim Executive Director of Children and Families in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer) and the City Solicitor (or their delegates) to award the contract for New Build SEN Resource Base at Prince Albert High School to Interclass Plc; and

(v)            Delegated authority to the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the above decisions.
