Purpose
This report will set out the procurement strategy for the framework for Major Construction Projects and Capital Works Programmes. This framework will replace Lot 7 of the current Constructing West Midlands Framework which expires on 30th September 2019.

Decision Outcome
On 18 September 2018, Cabinet:-
(i) Approved the contents of the report and the commencement of the tendering activity to identify suitable construction companies to be placed on a new Construction Framework in accordance with the procurement strategy set out in report Appendix 1;
(ii) Agreed to delegate authority to the Director of Commissioning & Procurement in conjunction with the Corporate Director of Finance & Governance (or their delegate) and the City Solicitor (or their delegate) to approve the successful tenderers onto the new Framework Agreement following conclusion of the tender process and execute the necessary contractual documentation to effect this outcome.
