Decision Outcome
On 21 July 2026, the Cabinet Member for Children Young People
and Families:
1. Approved the total project costs and
spend of up to £301,908 for boiler replacement works at Anglesey School funded
from the School Condition Allocation (SCA).
2. Approved the Full Business Case appended
to the report as Appendix 1.
3. Approved the award of a contract by
direct award using the Constructing West Midlands Capital Works Framework
Agreement for the boiler replacement works at Anglesey School for the value of
£246,632 (plus a contingency of £30,000 for any unforeseen circumstances) to
Dodd Group (Midland) Ltd for a construction period of 12 weeks commencing in
July 2026 with completion anticipated in October 2026.
4. Noted that any VAT attributable to the
costs payable by the Council is reclaimable under Section 33 of the VAT Act
1994.
5. Authorised the City Solicitor (or their
delegate) to execute and complete all necessary documents to give effect to the
above recommendations.
