On 16
December 2025, Cabinet Committee – Property:-
(i) Approved
the freehold disposal as detailed in Exempt Appendices 2, 3 and 4 to the report;
(ii) Authorised
the Executive Director of Place, Prosperity and Sustainability in conjunction
with the Director of Property & Regeneration, to agree the final terms of
the agreement and conclude the sale as recommended in Exempt Appendices 2, 3
and 4 to the report;
(iii) In the
event the transaction does not progress to completion, authorised the Director
of Property & Regeneration in consultation with the Executive Director of
Place, Prosperity and Sustainability and the Deputy Leader to revert to the
underbidders or remarket the property, select a preferred bidder agree terms
and price for the disposal of the property subject to a supporting
recommendation report from the Councils appointed agent having regard to the
Council’s duties under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972; and
(iv) Authorised
the City Solicitor to prepare, negotiate, execute and complete all relevant
legal documentation required to give effect to the above.
