Purpose

This report outlines the financial situation of Birmingham City Council as of January 2023. The City faces very significant underlying financial challenges, and this report outlines the latest position in addressing these challenges. In particular this report will focus on the latest position on the 2024/25 budget setting process, and latest savings proposals.

  3. Noted the update on the savings and transformation programme for 2025/26 (as stated in paragraphs 3.31 to 3.38 of the report.
